Now This Is A Nice Story/Whatever Brings Them To The Ballpark
The Seattle Mariners of Seattle are in heated contract negotiations with prodigal son, Ken Griffey II. While Griffey was never really one of the top five outfielders the Mariners wanted to sign to replace Raul Ibanez, all the other guys they had a chance at signed with other teams.
If they can get him at the rumored salary of 1 year/$5 million, then that will more than pay itself back in increased ticket sales. As much as people loving braving 36 degree weather in April, they’d much rather do that watching Griffey again than Endy Chavez.
What’s that? You made one good catch in the playoffs a few years back and you’re STILL milking that?
For shame, Endy. I hate you.
